How To Avoid Obesity

Obese, Overweight, Fat?

Fact: Almost one-sixth of the world’s population is putting on weight! This is a sad reality that every one of us should face. Thus, we cannot let the numbers to continue to increase since those one billion people who are overweight already are in great danger of developing diseases that may end their life.

Wondering the connection of death to overweight or obesity? Well, to enlighten you there are already studies that most of the common diseases nowadays are being linked to improper diet, overweight and obesity. Those diseases are really preventable if we are going to take good care of your body.

The diseases that I am taking about are coronary heart disease, cancer, liver and gallbladder disease, high cholesterol, sleep apnea, stroke, type 2 diabetes and more. Those are really deadly though most of those can be treated with proper medication. However, why are you going to wait to be diagnosed with such diseases if you can prevent of having one.

Here are some of the simple ways on how you can prevent obesity

1 )Avoid being sedentary.

Start having an active lifestyle. Of course, if you can’t go to the gym or perform exercises everyday, you can still be active by doing simple things like climbing the stairs, cleaning the house, washing the dishes and more. In shout, do be a couch potato at your home or be a mouse potato in the office. Move your body. Grove it!

2) Avoid Sweets and Junk Foods.

Indeed that the body also needs sugar. However, having too much of them is bad. Try to skip having desserts like ice cream, sundae, cake and chocolates. Instead, eat fruits. You can also substitute fruits from junk foods. Fruits contain vitamins and minerals as well as there are also negative calorie fruits which can help in speeding up your slimming process. It is recommended to have at least five kinds of fruits per day.

3) Avoid Eating Too Fast.

Take your time in eating your foods and don’t rush in finishing it because the stomach needs more time in order for it to recognize that it is already full. In addition, don’t eat more than necessary. You should eat only when you are hungry but eat in moderation.

4) Avoid Sodas and Beer.

Instead, drink lots of water in order to detoxify those impurities inside the body. It is recommended by doctors to drink at least 8 to 10 glasses of water per day.

5) Avoid Eating Too Much.

Have a proper and balanced diet. Eat the right amount of fruits and vegetables and meat too. If possible, you can consult a nutritionist so that you’ll understand which foods you should eat based on your current weight.

The above pointers are really simple and easy to follow. So, start acting right now to have a healthy and fit body.
