How Weight Loss Can Enhance Your Sex Life

Losing Weight Can Result In Better Sex

It’s not a secret that being overweight can result in us being less than happy for our lovers to see us in the nude. However, that does not mean that we don’t enjoy and desire sex. But at the same time, we know without losing weight

we will never have the confidence needed to flaunt our naked bodies like we would like to. This can pose a real dilemma when you want a fun and rewarding sex life.

It seems that every where we look , there is great food just waiting to be eaten. And, we feel it is our duty to comply. The fact is that more of us are guilty of over indulging than those who are not.

The good news is that we can use our desires for a better sex life to lose weight.

This can result in improved health as well as looking and feeling better. All in all, it has numerous benefits. We feel more confident and we even begin to feel sexy. It’s amazing the difference in what we will do and the enjoyment we will feel when we feel good about ourselves.

First of all, relax; this is not a boring article with a dull diet plan and nothing more. But, it is important to discuss some of the eating habits that you need to adopt if you are to lose weight. To begin, avoid processed foods. Choose fruits and vegetables, along with lean protein.

You will also need to include some low fat dairy foods. Fish, avocados, and nuts are always a good addition to a diet. Fiber is essential to a healthy diet.

Avoid sugar and refined carbohydrates. Learning to read food labels is an easy way to insure that you are eating right. The simple advice that you have probably heard all your life may be the best. This includes things like drinking lots of water and eating salads.

The extra pounds will quickly begin to drop off and you will begin feeling more positive about your body. During the time that your weight was out of control you likely began wearing clothing that was less than flattering. It is common for people to mistakenly believe that wearing oversized clothes is a way to camouflage the extra pounds. As time goes on, the clothes tend to shield the fact that there are any curves to our body at all.

Ideally, as the pounds fall off, you will purchase new clothing that accents your new slimmer, buffer body. As your confidence builds you will be more willing to allow your partner to enjoy your body by sight and touch. The sexy you will be reborn and your relationship will be enhanced by the self-esteem you are able to demonstrate in the bedroom. Losing weight is a worthwhile effort with many, many benefits, some of which are never mentioned in the TV commercials!

After A Breakup : Before You Contact Your Ex

After A Breakup: When To Contact Your Ex

Breakups happen, sometimes even to good relationships. The causes can range from a one-time argument to a long-term problem that builds momentum over time. In some cases the relationship was not built on a solid enough foundation so the slightest problems can result in major disputes.

Whatever the reason or cause of the breakup, one partner or both will be left feeling hurt and lost. These feelings are demonstrated differently by different people. Some people will openly cry and show their hurt, even openly displaying signs of depression. But others hide the hurt behind outward demonstrations of anger. For some, a display of anger is more acceptable than that of showing hurt or disappointment.

That does not mean that the hurt is not there. In fact, if there is not hurt, then there is little need for anger at all. Regardless of whether the breakup results in acknowledged feelings of hurt, disappointment, or anger, many times the immediate response is to do whatever it takes to get the ex back.

Unfortunately, an immediate response will almost always be a wrong response. When a break up occurs there are certain things that should take place if you want to get your ex back. Luckily, these steps are easy to follow and they work at least 95% of the time. Check them out!

1)
Put some space between you and your ex.

This means that you should give yourself and your ex time to adjust to the situation, and time to think things through before making any attempt at communication.

2)     Analyze the relationship and the problems it had.

Determine what went wrong and if it is possible to make things better. This is an important time. Consider if the relationship is worth the work it will take to make things better.

3)    Work on being nice to yourself.

Do things that you enjoy or that you   have neglected while involved in the relationship. This is a great time to work on self-improvement issues or to rediscover old hobbies. The more you do during this phase the more interesting you will be. That means you will have more to offer when you become involved in a relationship.

4)    Spend time with other people.

Begin by spending time with old friends and family members. Then go out on a few dates. This is not necessarily meant to be a way to find a new dating partner, but rather, it offers you an opportunity to see what it’s like to be with other people. You may find that you enjoy their company more than that of your ex. Regardless, you will be learning more about people and how to get along with them. This is another way to make yourself more interesting.

5)    Now you are probably ready to contact your ex.

Simply make a brief phone call and ask for a short meeting (perhaps for coffee or lunch).  Keeping things brief provides a level of comfort in knowing that there is little chance for past issues to come up and if the meeting is uncomfortable it will be short. If things go well with this meeting you can plan another one. Take things slowly and remember to build into the relationship what was missing before.

How To Manage Stress- Take A Break

To Handle Stress -Take A Break

In life, there is a time for everything. There is time to sleep and there is a time to eat. There is a time work and a time to play. There is also a time relax. But for some reason in our highly-motivated society we have put a negative overtone on taking time to relax. Some even equate it with being lazy. But your body needs that time to relax or it will quickly experience health problems because it never gets a break from the stress.

Take A Walk And Relax

How do you relax when there is so much going on around you? Sometimes you just have to walk down the back stairwell of your office building away from everyone else and go to a
place to you sit and get some fresh air. Sometimes, you have to sneak away from your office and go to a day football game. Of course, you shouldn’t take advantage of sneaking away
from your boss but more than likely you’ll find your boss does the same thing.

Sneak Away And Forget Your Problems

When you take a break and just forget about your problems you will find that you will be much more refreshed when you have to return to them. During this time of getting away, you may come back and the solution is staring right at you. This would be a solution that you would have not otherwise seen had you not taken a break.

Make Time For Breaks And Take One

Your body needs to get some relief from the daily pressures of life. Not only will you suffer emotional pressures if you don’t take a break but you will down the road experience health problems too. This is well documented. People who never take a break experience overweight problems, colds, bodily aches and pains, and other ailments. So take a break
because your health and overall well being should be one of your top priorities.

Walking Safely Around On Food

Taking a walk or a run outside is a great way to get some exercise and fresh air, as well as a practical (and free!) means of transportation. Whether you're strolling down a rural road or jogging along a busy street, the safest place for you to be is on the side of the street where the flow of traffic is against you. This ensures that you will see all oncoming vehicles, giving you enough time to get out of the way if a careless driver comes careening towards you. If you walk in the same direction as traffic, you have a much greater chance of being run over by a vehicle because you will not see it in advance, especially if you are wearing headphones or talking on a cellphone and can't hear the roar of oncoming traffic.

Walk Close To The Curb

If the road you are walking on has a sidewalk, by all means use it! That's what it's there for. Walking in the shoulder of the road is absolutely fine if there is no sidewalk available. You can also walk along the grass or dirt next to the road, which is generally acceptable if you're not treading over private property. Otherwise, walk as close to the curb or the edge of the road (if there is no curb) as possible. This will get you out of the way of motorists, who may or may not see you depending on how fast they are going and how attentive they are. If you do not feel safe when a vehicle is coming towards you, do not hesitate to stop walking and step out of the way until the vehicle passes you.

Wear Reflective Clothing At Night

At night time, make sure to wear reflective clothing or carry a flashlight in case the street is not well-lit so that you will be noticed by drivers -- wearing dark-colored clothing makes you practically invisible, which is very dangerous for obvious reasons.

How To Have More Time For Recreation

Organize Your Activities

Everybody these days complain that he or she does not have time for anything, nor have any spare time. However, most people forget or don’t take into consideration the amount of time they lose with all sort of non-important activities. If people could better organize their lives and the activities they do, then they would have more time.

Organize Your Work Area

For instance, have you ever misplaced a file in a cluttered desk? You probably did. Can you remember the amount of time you spent on trying to find it? It probably took up a lot of your time before you located the file. If you were not able the file then the effort; besides having been in vain, also took a lot of your time and energy. And this without taking into consideration, that you could have never found the file you were looking for, ever again. This can be very frustrating.

Organize Your Desk

Now, imagine that if you have had a better-organized desk, a better-organized work area, this would have never happened. Imagine all that time spent on finding that file could have been used in all sort of other ways. You could have done all kinds of activities, ranging from other work tasks to some free time you could have enjoyed.

Organize Your Life

These little things, things like better organizing the work area and better organizing one’s life, escape people and lead them to losing a great deal of time. If you want to enjoy more time, time that you could spend doing other useful activities, and if you want to escape the trouble of looking for a file in a cluttered desk with the risk of never finding it, you would better start organizing your work space. You probably won’t regret it.

How To Keep Track Of Kids on Camping Trips

Be Sure To Pack a First Aid Kit & Some Medicines

Summer will soon be here and before you finalize your plans here are some tips to help you better enjoy with camping or holiday trip with your children.  When you’re making preparations for a holiday with your children, you’re probably also feeling a bit worried about the possible problems that might arise. You should, of course, pack some medicines that you think they might need, as well as a first aid kit. But there might be more to worry about. Think of the first scenes from Home Alone...It is, of course, unlikely that you might leave your children at home and drive to the airport without them.

Educate Children About The Dangers of Straying and Wandering Off

However, if you’re going on a camping holiday, knowing where your children are at all times can be quite challenging. The smaller they are, they more energy they have. They can be absorbed in their curious exploration and stray too far from your tent or trailer.

Establish Safety Rules

There are two main things you can do to avoid such trouble. First of all, you should have a talk with your children before you leave home. In fact, you should discuss the rules with them long before you start your holiday, and repeat it once or twice. If you only talk to them about it on the day you leave, they will probably be too excited about the holiday to be able to concentrate on what you’re saying. Make sure they understand that they should not venture too far from you. If they’re not old enough to understand this, there’s not much you can do except keep a constant eye on them during the holiday.

Make Sure Children Wear Whistles Around Their Necks

The other thing you should do is to have your children wear whistles around their neck. Chances are they will even find it fun. You should agree on a communication code. For instance, a certain number of whistles may mean they need help. Make the code as original as you can without complicating it, to avoid
confusions in case there might be several families with children on the camping site.

Once you’ve established the safety rules, all you need is good weather and a list of songs to make the trip more fun.

Why You Should Be Punctual For Your Job Inteview

                                                             Being Punctual Shows Respect

Punctuality is a quality that is very much appreciated. Being punctual gives the impression that you are professional. Punctuality is also a sign that you respect other people's time. Being punctual for a job interview gives a prospective employer the impression that you are professional and are serious about getting the job. Obviously, being late at such an event will not be a good starting point for you.

Being Punctual Helps You Feel Relaxed

On the day of your job interview, you need to get ready on time for the interview. Leave your place early enough so that you won't have to run and be tired the moment you arrive. Organize your time in such a way that you are prepared for unpleasant and unexpected events like traffic jams and so on.

Being On Time Says Something About Your Professionalism

It is an unwritten law that you have to arrive ten to fifteen minutes before the scheduled hour of your interview. Be polite with the person who welcomes you if there is one. During the time that you wait, you should be careful about your behavior and how you present yourself. Avoid attracting anyone's attention. Do not show that you are agitated or nervous while you wait because someone might very easily be already observing you. Thus, it is very important that you behave appropriately from the very moment you enter the doors of the company you're interested to work for and not only during the interview proper.

Being Punctual Works In Your Favor When Unforeseen Problems Arise

However, if an urgent or unavoidable problem or circumstance crops up on your way to the job interview despite your planning, keep in mind that interviewers will wait for you for no more than fifteen minutes. As soon as you get there, apologize and accept that you have already created a bad impression. Take heart, though, because it's not the end of the world. You would simply need to double your efforts during the interview in order to be successful. Your goal is to show your prospective employer your capabilities and knowledge that you are the perfect person for the job.

How to Have A Fun and Romantic Camping Trip

How to Have A Fun and Romantic Camping Trip

Romantic Camping Trip-Perfect Getaway

If you and your partner enjoy the outdoors then a romantic camping trip can be the perfect getaway. These trips can be fun and adventurous. It’s a great way to spend a special date, anniversary, or just a weekend away from the rat race of life.

*Choose An Ideal Spot and Pack Needed Equipment

Making a camping trip both fun and romantic is not difficult, as long as you plan ahead and insure that you have all the needed equipment and supplies. Planning begins with choosing the ideal location for the perfect camping spot. This means that you will need to do a little research ahead of time. You want to know that you are going to a location that will provide the type of activities that you and your partner enjoy.

*Ensure That The Trip is not spent chasing away bugs, snakes, or wild animals

Some couples enjoy water sports and others prefer simple walks through natural settings and still others enjoy rock climbing or mountain climbing. But few want to spend their camping time with an infestation of bugs, snakes, or dangerous wild animals.

*Have Dinner by Candlelight or Campfire

Regardless of the activities that you choose to pursue, nature always makes a romantic backdrop for fun and exciting times with your partner. Even outdoors, you can easily have a romantic dinner by candle light. A dinner by campfire can also be very romantic.

*Enjoy Music by the campfire while star gazing

Before nightfall you can choose a nice location to build your campfire. You can plan to have music via a portable system or MP3 player. Insure that the spot you pick will be good for star gazing. A beautiful view of a lake or other body of water is always stunning in the moonlight.

*Don’t Forget Romantic Foods like Champagne and Cheese

Planning ahead includes menu planning. Not only should you attempt to bring along nourishing meals, but also strive to bring along foods that can be considered romantic. Even in the outdoors, champagne sparkles and cheeses taste delicious.

*Pack Enough Food Should You Decide To Extend Trip

Be sure to bring enough food for the duration of the camping trip and then have some extra foods. After all, there is the possibility that you will have such a good time that you will want to stay an extra day! Besides that, you will be burning up lots of calories as you are busy in the outdoors.

*Invest in Reliable plastic food bowls

Besides food you will need reliable containers to keep the food in. plastic bowls with lids work very well. Be sure to have enough space in a cooler for all the food that requires refrigeration. Take along enough ice to last the entire trip.

Take Along Massage Oil, Gmes,Flashlights, Matches, Lantern, Etc

You will need flashlights, lanterns, matches, fold up chairs, camping stove and cooking supplies, along with a tent and sleeping bags. You will also want to make the time inside the tent fun. This could be done by bringing along such supplies as massage oils, body paints, or even playing some bedroom games.

*Go on several trips each year

Camping trips are inexpensive and fun. Because camping is so cheap you can go on several trips each year. Plus, your dogs are never a problem, you can just bring them along – they’ll love the trip. Why not plan a camping trip as soon as possible? Get away from the grind of daily schedules and enjoy the outdoors. Relax and get in touch with nature while you get in touch with the one you love.

First Date -Top Five Venues Where To Go.

Top 5 Venues On Where To Go On Your First Date

First dates are all about getting to know each other. Thus, it is very important that you choose a place that will allow you to establish a good impression to your date as well as to present yourself in a good way, that will make you appear at your best. For that reason, many are really nervous on their first dates. They don't know what to do and where to go.

The key in choosing the place for your first date is to think about a place , wherein both of you can have fun and you can talk in order to get to know each other better. Look for places where both of you can interact with each other. Here are some of the top picks where you can go on your first date.

1.    The Park.

Set a picnic date in a park. In the park, you can do many things, like you can just walk around, play with the kids who are in the park as well or just talk about anything under the shade of a tree. Having a date in the park is really romantic. Plus, you get to showcase your cooking skills or your good taste in foods. Being in the park can reveal your personality more without saying too much.

2.    The Museum.

Indeed it’s true that, there will be less interaction in the museum, but it can be fun in there. Both of you are learning from each other while inside the museum and both of you will know how good are you in history and in arts. While standing in front of a piece of art, you can talk about it, how it affects you or how those artifacts don’t impress you.

3.    The Amusement Park.

Remember that there are a lot of things to do in the amusement park, thus it is your chance to have a good day with your date. Try to ride on the different rides like the roller coasters, carousel, bump cars and more. Also, try to win your date some stuff toys for remembrance. Try to play team plays to test your chemistry and to see how good each of you can work together.
4.    Go Bowling.

Well, you don’t have to be a good bowler nor your date in order for you to enjoy bowling. Do you know that it is more fun to bowl when both of you are not that good? In addition to that, you can talk and get to know each other well since there is a lot of time in between frames.
5.    Play Sports.

Both of you can agree on which sports the two of you enjoy. You can share tips and tricks in that sport as well as have a good time playing it. Thus, there are no dull moments while you get to know each other very well.

Those are just the Top 5 on my list. You can create your own list and be creative in doing that. Just remember that your first date should be fun so that there will be many more.

Clutter Free Bathroom

How To Organize the Bathroom

The bathroom is the one room in the house that is often overlooked when it comes to both tidying and organizing. This is because the bathroom isn’t specifically any one person’s room. However, it is easy to organize the bathroom in such a way that will make items easy to locate, identify and assign to each member of the house. The bathroom is the one area of the house that has items belonging specifically to each family member and also the one room of the house that can generate a lot of arguments if items are misplaced or used by the wrong person.

Bathroom Caddies ? Buy one!

A bathroom caddy is the single most useful item when it comes to organizing the bathroom. More specifically, one bathroom caddy per person is ideal. A bathroom caddy gives room to house all personal items including toothbrushes and other hygienic items that are considered to be personal to each family member. The bathroom caddy also allows each family member to put his or her own shampoo and other cosmetics in. The unauthorized use of these items is probably one of the biggest reasons for family fights, so organizing the bathroom may help to prevent accidental misuse.

Cluttered Bathroom is a Dangerous Bathroom

Of course, another reason for organizing the bathroom in this way is that it looks neater. The bathroom then becomes a lot easier to manage. When there is mess, items get lost, damaged or broken and the bathroom is no different in this respect. Clutter in the bathroom can be dangerous, causing people to have accidents or at the very least to injure themselves. By ensuring that everything in your bathroom has its place, and is in its place, you can easily prevent accidents, injuries and arguments from happening.

Keeping The Spark In Your Relationship

The Dream Getaway – A Romantic Cruise

Most people would agree that a cruise with the person you love is dream getaway. Being on board a ship, side-by-side with your partner is romantic. As you watch the world passing in quiettranquility it seems that nothing matters but what exists on that boat. It doesn’t matter if the wateris a lake, an ocean, or a river; the feelings evoked by the cruise are the same.

If you compare the costs of a big impressive nightout on the town to a dinner sunset cruise you will find that the costs are very comparable. The difference is the dinner cruise leaves a lasting memory and the night out on the town will soon be meshed in memory with many other nights..

For an even more memorable getaway there are two and three day cruises available on the larger rivers across the United States. The historical aspect of Paddle Wheeler boats add to the fun. Additionally, small boats and even houseboats can be rented at most larger lakes and rivers. This provides an opportunity for a fun filled romantic adventure with your partner that will not be soon forgotten.

The next step up in cruises is that of a short, two or three day cruise on a luxury cruise ship. These shorter cruise itineraries are becoming increasingly popular because they fit in with people’s work schedules and they are affordable. Because the cruise lines are very much aware of the problems people face in regards to finding the time and money to spend on the longer cruises they have developed numerous options. There are also three and our day cruises, and the durations build from there.

When it comes to longer cruises, couples frequently prefer getaways that are less formal and more relaxed. Very often they prefer a freestyle concept that provides opportunities for unscheduled meal times. Another option can include the opportunity to eat at a table alone as opposed to eating with a group.

Taking the concept a step farther, couples looking for romantic cruise should generally look for one that is relaxed in nature. Although a formal meal is acceptable to most people, in general, a relaxed resort feeling that advocates casual attire is better liked by couples looking for a getaway.

If you’ve never spent time on a cruise with a spouse or partner then you will absolutely love the first cruise you take. The good news is that each one gets better than the last. With the experience of one or more behind you knowing what you want and exactly how to plan for it gets easier.

Whether you begin with a short dinner cruise or you go for the gusto and take a week long cruise, just go! You and your partner will love it and you are sure to agree that a cruise is very romantic.

Dust , Pollen And Allergy Protection

How To Protect Yourself Against Dust, Pollen & Allergies

At some point in your life, you have probably been exposed to dusty conditions that more than likely made it uncomfortable for you to breathe. These sort of environments may have included a neglected attic or basement, a construction site or workshop where a lot of sanding or sawing was taking place, a windy desert storm, or perhaps even just city air fraught with air pollution. If you find yourself in any of these sort of situations, or need to perform a job that requires working in a dusty setting, you may want to protect yourself against the hazards of dust.

Work in a well-ventilated workspace

Breathing in too much dust can create a variety of health problems, including wheezing, a stuffy nose, and eye irritation. It can contribute to as well as trigger respiratory problems such as asthma, allergies, and coughing. If you are working in an area with a lot of dust, vacuuming frequently or having a vacuum attached to the machinery can help mitigate the amount of dust in the air. Using a wet mop to clean up dust on the floor can also help. Try to make your workspace as well-ventilated as possible.

Wear a mask or bandana

When you are working in a dusty environment, wear a mask to help protect you from the dust in the air. Masks can be purchased in most hardware stores, as well as from workplace safety suppliers. Make sure the masks fits you and you put it on correctly – it may not work properly otherwise. If you don’t have access to a mask, you can tie a bandanna around your nose and mouth to help protect you.

Step away for fresh air

If you still have problems breathing after taking these precautions, even with a mask on, stop working immediately and go somewhere with fresh air. Seek medical help if you are still having trouble breathing after a few minutes, or your airways feel constricted.

By taking these precautions; you will be saving yourself from sneezing and being miserable from the dust clogging up your breathing passages.  Before sweeping sprinkling water on the area to be swept helps immensely.

No Success Without Failure

Success and Failure go hand in hand

We all fear failure and do not want to experience it; because failure has a tendency to make us feel pretty rotten inside. But did you know that all great successes experienced many failures before becoming such? Take for example, the guy who invented the light bulb and many more who experienced failure, before throwing in the towel. Go ahead. Do your own research and try reading about the lives of a few famous and successful people. You will be astonished as to what you find in their history. There is probably a very good chance that each one of them went through one or more failures throughout their lives before becoming big successes.

Failure presents valuable lessons in desguise

Why is this? Talk to any successful small business owner and he or she will probably be more than happy to tell you their war stories. Let us take starting in business, for example. First of all, no one who starts in business knows everything about it. They may have a lot of book knowledge, but they have not experienced any of the challenges they will meet. Many of them have not learned how to deal with customers who do not pay. They have not
learned to deal with customers who lie or cheat to get something for nothing. These small business owners have to get burned a couple of times before they learn what
to look out for.

Embrace Failure and Learn From Mistakes

If you are venturing to be successful at business, in your workplace, or trying to get your students to improve their grades, value the failures that you will experience along the way. Take the time to carefully analyze the failures, learn what went right and what went wrong and commit not to make the same mistake twice. You will find that you become highly skilled in learning the warning signs of potential failure situations and by doing so, you avoid them altogether. After you have analyzed where you went wrong, take actions to prevent it and do not look back. Remember that anyone who has never failed probably has never accomplished much.

Company Language - How To Be Heard In The Workplace

Learn the Company Language

Learning a language, as a child comes in stages. Children often learn acceptable actions and body language before they learn how to speak a single vocabulary word. However, when an adult starts a new job, most of the time he or she is learning the vocabulary or the terminology used for the different types of equipment, products and functions before learning the corporate language and acceptable actions a company uses. It is important as an adult to learn how to speak the language of a company, not just the terminology of a company.

Research and Learn What IS Acceptable Behavior

Every company has certain acceptable actions it uses in various communication settings. In a meeting, a company may consider talking about different subjects other than what the meeting was called for. Other companies would not accept the action at all. Some companies use a specified meeting start time as an approximate starting time. Some companies will start a meeting without whoever is running late (and then glare when you enter). It is important to also learn what a company expects from each individual at a meeting. Is active participation necessary or are meetings used for lecturing only?

Learn How To Communicate Effectively Within The Company

A company’s email communication can be another challenge. Does a company allow some banter between employees with email? Or, is the company very strict with the use of email? Is it all right to send informal emails opening with ‘Hi’ or do you need to be formal with all of your communications?

Learn About Company Communication Streams

Another big area that needs to be learned is how communication travels. Does an employee need to always speak to her direct Superior or can he or she speak to other employees and other Superiors? What reactions does a company have if an employee does not agree with a policy? What are the lines of communication available to submit any ideas you may have?

The quicker you learn the language of a company, the quicker you will be able to communicate effectively.

How To Be Happy And Feel Less Stressed

Take Time To Enjoy The Simple Things

The more our society advances, the more stressful it is. The rat race gets more intense each day. We are miserable people because we fall victim to the rat race. But there is relief by just taking the time to enjoy simple things. And little does everyone know that simple things can help relieve a lot of the stresses we are feeling. However, for most of us, we are so used to living in the rat race mode that we don’t even know where to begin in looking at the simple things.

Enjoy The Sunset

When was the last time you took the time to enjoy a sunset? Just sit in your easy chair on the porch or back yard and watch the sun go down. If you live close to the seashore or in a desert region, sunsets can be very a breathtakingly beautiful sight indeed.

Take A Walk Or Ride Your Bike

Or when was the last time you just went for a walk or rode your bicycle? Want a quick solution to the stress of city traffic? Ride your bike or take a bus to work. Buses are especially nice in that you can sit with your favorite book or even snooze while you are going to work. Plus, you will save money on gasoline which can be so expensive these days. Some cities have nice rail systems that let you commute comfortable to and from work. You will be amazed at how much better you would feel by staying out of traffic.

Play With Your Child

If you have small children, when was the last time you just  came home and said, "Hey, let’s go to the playground!" You will be surprised at how much better you will feel just sitting and watching your children play. We must remember to cherish these moments when the children are small because the time passes by so fast.  It is not hard to find simple things to enjoy and make you feel better. The problem for most of us is that we don't stop.  Doing  this will not only energize you but add more years to your life. "So take time to smell the roses!"

How To Eliminate Envy

                                                                    Eliminate Envy And Stay Happy

Even if you don’t believe the Christian Bible, you might want to read some of its stories sometime. You will find a wealth of valuable lessons for staying happy. One thing you will quickly find out is that many of the incidents of strife in the Bible had their roots in what is called envy. Envy is wanting what someone else has and feeling hostile towards that person for having it. If envy is cultivated too long within a person, it can actually manifest itself towards violent acts.

The stories in the Bible concerning envy range from Cain killing his brother Abel because God would not accept his sacrifice, to the brothers of Joseph throwing him into a pit and allowing him to be sold into slavery because they did not like his coat of many colors. These stories start with a seed of envy and end up in violent acts.

If you detect even a bit of envy within yourself, you need to eliminate it because it will only make you into a bitter person. It could be dangerous as well because you may be tempted to take action to try and satisfy your envy against the person you are envious of. You are better off feeling happy for a person who has something you wish you had. And you can rest assured that you will always find someone who has something better than you; so you might as well learn to deal with it.

The best thing to do when you feel you are envious of another is to stop and look at the good things you have. For instance, your friend might have the car you want and all you have is a beat up minivan. However, it could be that your friend is not blessed with children whereas you wouldn’t trade the experiences of hauling yours around in your old minivan for anything.

How To Aviod Pain By Learning From Others

Avoid Being Hurt By Learning From Others

Problems in life are inevitable. As we go through life we are going to run into many difficulties and uncertainties and even tragedies. There is no school for learning how to deal with these life changing events. You can read a book on how to deal with life changing events but books are general and usually do not specifically address your
particular problem.

Learn From Others Who Have Walked The Path

It is not just problems that we have to deal with. Sometimes we enter into a positive situation like a marriage and don’t know what to expect. Other times we are dealing with a task
in our careers that we were never taught in college. All these are examples of where we can benefit greatly by learning from others who have already been down those paths.

Learn From Those Who Have Experienced The Same

Notice that we qualify this with those who have experienced the same challenges. How can a person who has never "been there" give effective help? We can learn from those who have
experienced what we are about to experience for ourselves. If we pay attention to them, we have a better chance of choosing the right path and avoiding a lot of pain due the
mistakes we avoid.

Avoid making The Same Mistakes Like Others

For instance, let’s say there is an elderly person who at one time got overextended on credit but ended up paying all of it off after years of struggling. This would be the perfect person
to talk to when you get your first credit card. This person can tell you how credit card companies fish you in with promises of 0% interest on balance transfers and extremely generous credit lines. They can tell you before you fall into the trap about the miserable nightmare it can end up being. Now how would a person who has never experienced that be able to help you?

Save Yourself From PAin

Learn from the experiences of others. By doing so, you can avoid their mistakes and the pain they felt as a consequence of their actions.

Closet Space -Organizing Your Closet

closet organizer                                           How ToOrganizing Your Closet

Over-crowded closets can cause a number of problems. You may have difficulty finding clothes that you need quickly, and things you have hanging up may become wrinkled due to the close quarters. You can solve these problems quite easily, and you will find that the work you put into organizing and sorting your closets will save you more work over time. Simply rotate the items in your closet with the seasons.

Arrange Clothing By Seasons

You will have some clothes that are appropriate for all seasons, such as some formal wear and simple casual wear that will not be affected by the changes in seasonal weather. You should start by separating these into their own section, which will, for the most part, remain in your closet all year. Take the rest of your clothes out of the closet and sort them according to the seasons for which they are appropriate.

Store clothing for different seasons in clear bags and plastic boxes

Place items that are not appropriate for the current season into storage until they are needed. Clear plastic boxes or bags are the best way to go for this storage, as you will be able to tell what they hold easily. Store items for each season together, and be careful to store your clothing in a place where the conditions will not adversely affect the fabrics. Some fabrics, for instance, do not handle drastic temperature or humidity changes well.

 Arrange Clothes By Functions

There are a number of ways you can arrange the clothes that remain in your closet, but the best method is probably to arrange them by their function For instance, put casual wear in one section of your closet, the formal wear in another, and so on. This will allow you to find whatever you need inside your closet quickly and easily. Remember to keep extra containers for the things that are still in your closet, when you need to rotate those out, as well as to replace any containers that wear out.

Embracing Help

                                               Don’t Turn Away Help

Most of us are proud people. We usually have an attitude within ourselves that we have made it to this point of life on our own and will continue to pull our weight to make it. However, we can be assured that at some point in our life, we will hit the bottom. It is not a matter of if but it is a matter of when.

Unless you are independently wealthy, you are going to need someone to help you and you will have to swallow your pride to let that happen. Maybe you have experienced a job loss and it has been a few months and you still have not landed a new job. You send resume after resume with no response. Have you tried calling someone you know who might be able to help you get a job? It has been proven time and time again that you have the best chances of
getting a job when someone already there can attest to your skills and qualifications. So why go through the hassle of looking anywhere else?

For those of us young and just starting our adult lives, getting credit can be very difficult. However, all of us will need credit to buy cars, homes, and other large ticket items. But when we are first starting to apply for credit we will receive many rejection letters. The quickest way to get credit is to have an already-established credit-worthy person co-sign a loan with you. This is where getting help will save you time and hassle. However, if you get someone
to co-sign with you, please make sure you pay the debt as you could destroy that person’s credit if you do not.

Other types of help could come in the form of advice from wise people who have already been through an experience you might be struggling with. You would be surprised that there are others going through what you are and it could save you much grief by just seeking their advice. The bottom line is...learn to accept help when you need to. Don’t shy away from help when it is offered to you. It will be easier to solve your problem when you have someone to help you through.

Managing Your Expectations

Giving Without Expecting Anything in Return
love unconditionalSome of the unhappiest people in the world are people who expect something from others, particularly if these others owe them favors. While we are all taught that if we do things for people it will usually return to us, this is not always the case. You will find that you will typically be a much happier person if -- when you do something for someone or give something to a person -- you expect nothing in return.

It has been said that people who keep their expectations low have little cause to whine. For instance, if a close friend of yours is in a bind and asks to borrow some money, give it as a gift instead of lending it. Realistically, if a person is in a real financial bind, that person probably cannot pay you back anyway. If you lend money to this person and do not get it back, you might find yourself getting very angry and upset. By the same token, if you do not have the money to spare, then tell your friend this too. It is better to be honest in this case. Just tell your friend you do not have money to lend him and try to help your friend come to a solution.

It is easy to do favors for other people whom we are pretty certain will return the same for us. In other words, it is easy to give some nice gift to a rich friend of ours as we are pretty certain that this rich friend will give us a nice gift in return. It is much harder and much nobler to do a favor for someone you know cannot return the same. This is what divides the happy people from the miserable people. Those individuals who genuinely help those in real need
expecting nothing returned are among the happiest on earth whereas the ones who expect something back are quickly disappointed.

My child is thirteen and she has begun her independence by wanting individual privacy. She makes decision like parents should not be in her room or that she shouldn’t have to tell us where she is going. Adulthood independence does need to be gained, but as a parent I still feel I need to be a parent and balance her teenage impulses with the respect I as a parent deserves.
For example, I signed my daughter up for Summer Camp and she goes on a rampage. She says flat out that she is not going. She complains that no body ever ask her anything. That we should stop making decisions for her. As far as I see it; if I just leave this child alone she'll sit and watch television all day or spend all her time surfing the web. And I just cannot do that. She has freedom and abuses it. So I suggested sending her to Costa Rica for the Summer? She says no.

Last summer she stayed home and complained so I think she needs some time away. Friends say, I am overprotective and needs to backoff. But how can I? As parent’s our role includes protecting the child at any cost. Knowing where our child is going to be and who he or she going to be with is part of a parent’s protective role. A parent’s role is also to be a friend to his or her child. A friend trusts his or her friends and believes friends will do right by him or her. Discussing with your teenager why you want to know when and where he or she is going can help both you and your teenager realize what each other expects. Let your teenager know that you would like the information for safety reasons and to give you peace of mind.

True, as a teenager she does need to be able to establish her independence and privacy, but I know my child and the activities and friends she is involved with. The stuff she writes and the people she converse with on her IM tells me alot; so then I need to do something. I know right now that, she is crossing the established boundaries, because she is testing limits lately. Oftentimes, I try to reestablish the boundaries. Sometimes I succeed and sometimes I fail. But, I try. One of my friends, says, sometimes, letting teenagers commit the mistake before parents step in to be parent can help them learn that there are consequences for their wrong actions and decisions. However, it is also important that the child knows that parents trust him or her to do the right thing.

Well, I try to keep an open dialogue ; especially in these changing times and try to understand the needs of my child from her point of view. It's very difficult but it's helping make the right decisions in being a parent and a friend. Parenting is hard work. Children do not come with a manual.

Spoiled Child

Temper, tantrums, crying: There is nothing more distressing than hearing your child cry over something that he or she wants, but you have told your child that he or she can’t have it. I have experienced this type of behavior from my child several times. These days children are so smart; if you let your guard down they'll get away with just about anything. Children approach me while I am on the telephone because I am distracted. Many times it feels so easy to give in and allow them to have the item; so I can have peace and quiet. However, I discovered that when I give in to my child’s demands over time, my child was throwing tantrums when she did not get her own way and was turning into a spoiled child. I don't blame her for this because by giving in after I said no, led my child to learn that she can get anything she wants by pushing my buttons and I really had to rethink my actions.

The first step to ensuring that a child does not become “The Spoiled One” is to be consistent in what you tell him or her. Teach your child that when you say ‘no’ you mean ‘no’. Even if your child screams at the top of his or her lungs for hours on end, by not giving in you teach your child that there is no reward for the wrong behavior and you are not going to back down.

The second step to ensuring that your child does not become “The Spoiled One” is to not bribe your child into performing the right behavior. Your child may learn that unless he or she is given something, he or she does not have to behave. Rewarding your child for the correct behavior after he or she has done it of his or her own free will is all right.

The third step to ensuring that your child does not become “The Spoiled one” is to not give your child everything he or she wants even if you have the money for it. Teach your child to learn how to live without things and to respect what he or she has.

Learning how to be firm and consistent with your child can be difficult, but over time it will get easier.

Child Discipline

Children can be easily embarrassed in public especially if they are disciplined when their friends are present. I am guilty and have discipline my child in public. I just lost it.
What I learn though is that when a child behaves badly in public, disciplining him or her in public may make the situation worse. As a parent, I have learned the errors of my ways. Effective discipline works and learning to handle bad behavior properly has helped my child to create proper respect for me.

Yelling may bring unwanted attention to a child. This unwanted attention can lead a child to believe that you don’t care about him or her because you embarrass your child. Or your child can continue to perform the unwanted action to gain the attention. Very often, I see parents embarassing themselves as they embarass their children. When I take my child out. Even before we leave the house I explain the kind of behavior I expect and what will ensue should my words fall on deaf ears.

Creating a way to let a child know that the behavior is unacceptable quietly can get the attention of your child quicker. A facial look or a hand signal can offer the warning signal that your child may need to remind him or her to behave. The behavior can then be discussed in private and appropriate actions can be taken.

Children may also draw attention to themselves in public by throwing a temper tantrum, because they are not getting their way. Many people do not appreciate a screaming child, but as a parent, not giving in to the demands of your child will minimize public outbursts in the future. Taking your child directly to the car to remove him or her from the public place will allow your child to settle down and the appropriate discussions to take place before re-entering the public place.

Recognizing that a child is an individual who will do things wrong is important. However, it is also important to teach that child that he or she is respected and will not be embarassed in public. Or, that you expect respect by not being embarrassed in public by misbehaving.

Rebellous Teen

It's 6 p.m. the phone rings. My 12 year old teacher is on the line. Your child is not doing homework, disrupts the class, and is being disrespectful. please come down call the school and ask for me at ext 331. This is like the third time I get those types of call. I speak to my child to find out what's going on and the story goes like this. I was just sitting there and some kids were goofing around and the teacher says she's calling my parents. I am pissed; Getting a call from the principal’s office is one of the last calls I want to receive during the day. Finding out that my child has been misbehaving and now has to stay in detention is not the type of news I want to hear. To receive these phone calls on a frequent basis causes me to become over emotional and I feel like a failure and I want to ground that child for life. So, I speak to friends ask how their family relationships are as far as the children are concerned and they explain that they've been in a similar situations. They even advise me that before I see my child I should take a deep breath, count to ten and get ready to talk to my child about the problems going on. They say, I should have a cool head and never approach the child in anger.

Anger and embarrassment as a parent is the type of reaction I have when I continually get these types of phone calls. I don't know the reason why my child continues to get into trouble and what I can do to correct the situation.I speak with my child to find out what’s happening to cause this behavior. I ask whether she is getting along with other students? Is she being bullied by someone? Does she understand the work? Is she and the teacher getting along? All I get is no.The lectures on the value of an Education is not appealing. I mention that no one wants to be at the bottom; everyone wants to be at the top. The child is not listening.

I'm aware that many times situations arise when there is a conflict with another person. I don't know if she is bored in class or not getting the attention that she needs. I signed my child into detention so she will get her work done there as the teacher says. I come home and felt like detention was a bad idea. I'm at whits end because I just don't know what to do

I know that the teenage years are the most difficult; yet still this is no excuse for such behavior. What else should a parent do when teenagers exhibit such behavior. If I ram my fist down her throat, there will be an outburst and the proclamation will read "child abuse". How can a parent bring up a child to be productive in society if controls are taken away from the parents thereby limiting the authority of parents as to how they should implement discipline. Every child is different and the type of discipline administered does not work for all. What is a parent suppose to do when time outs and taking away of toys and privileges don't work? How can we win the battle as parents?
